Scandal author Michel Houellebecq publishes new book Selenskyj in Berlin: The demand for fighter jets could spark a new conflict

French bestseller and scandalous author Michel Houellebecq publishes a new book. The work will appear on May 24, he confirmed to the German press agency in Paris.

The title will be “A few months in my life. October 2022 – March 2023″ and will be published by his French publisher Flammarion. In it, Houellebecq would describe from the first person perspective the past months, which were full of fuss about his person.

“For the first time in my life I really felt like I was being treated like the subject of a wildlife documentary. It’s hard for me to forget this moment,” the 65-year-old writes on the back cover of the 112-page book, said the publisher.

The author (“Annihilation”, “Elementary Particles”) should, among other things, discuss the unrest and the consequences that his interview in the right-wing populist magazine “Front Populaire” had caused. In it he spoke of a national uprising against the Muslim population of the country.

A short film with Dutch director Stefan Ruitenbeek caused no less sensation at the beginning of this year. Until now, there was only a trailer for the film, which the media described as pornographic, in which Houellebecq would have sex with several prostitutes. Houellebecq wanted to have the film banned, but lost in a Dutch court. At the end of March, he announced that he would appeal the ruling. (oee/sda/dpa)
