Kenyan cult horror is getting more and more gruesome

In Kenya, after more bodies were found, the death toll from an extreme sect has risen above 200. Regional Commissioner Rhoda Onyancha said another 22 lifeless bodies had been found in a forest near the coastal town of Malindi in the south of the country. This brings the total number of victims to 201.

According to the police, most of the deceased are followers of Paul M.*’s sect. According to previous investigations, he would have asked his followers to fast “to meet Jesus”.

The discussion about religion flared up

Since April, 50 mass graves have been discovered in the forest area near Malindi with suspected adherents of the Christian sect International Church of the Good News. According to previous studies, most of the victims died of starvation at the behest of cult leader Mackenzie. However, some victims were also strangled, beaten to death or suffocated. Among them were several children. The suspicion of organ trafficking is also being investigated because some victims were missing organs. Dozens of survivors were also rescued during the search and more than 600 people are missing, according to Onyancha.

According to Commissioner Onyancha, 26 people have been arrested so far in connection with the “Shakahola Forest Massacre”. Among them is cult leader Mackenzie, who turned himself in to the police.
