Climate stickers block the border bridge to Switzerland

class=”sc-3778e872-0 cKDKQr”>

Climate stickers blocked a bridge between Austria and Switzerland on Wednesday morning.

Eight demonstrators blocked traffic on the border bridge between Lustenau (Austria) and Au in Switzerland on Wednesday morning. Virtually all climate activists glued their hands to the concrete of the bridge on the Austrian side. They also ensured that the possibility of a rescue lane remained. One person didn’t stick.

Numerous transit routes for international heavy traffic run through the Lustenau/Au border crossing. At least 1,350 trucks and 13,100 cars cross the border here every day. This is sometimes at the expense of the residents of the two places. They suffer from harmful exhaust fumes and traffic noise.
