Gail Bradbrook, the co-founder of the climate movement Extinction Rebellion, was exposed this week as a climate violator.

Preaching water and drinking wine: That probably applies to British climate activist Gail Bradbrook (50). As the “Sun” reports, the co-founder of the climate movement Extinction Rebellion was exposed this week as a climate sinner.

As photos of shops in Bradbrook show, the activist is anything but carbon neutral. So she not only bought a lot of imported and plastic-wrapped fruits, but also loaded the goods from Chile, Vietnam, Spain, Cyprus and Italy into a diesel car. As the British newspaper continues to write, your purchase would have traveled more than 28,000 kilometers in total.

“She buys fruit that is flown halfway around the world”

Bradbrook’s climate-damaging behavior came into the public eye because a citizen (38) photographed her while shopping. The eyewitness sharply criticizes Bradbrook’s behavior. The climate activist would have done everything that Extinction Rebellion says is not allowed.

“She buys fruit that has been flown halfway around the world in non-recyclable packaging and then drives home in a diesel engine – what a hypocrite,” the eyewitness told The Sun. He adds, “But at least she wasn’t stopped on her way home by idiots glued to the road.”

Bradbrook’s behavior causes a shit storm

Bradbook’s behavior is also causing a stir among activists. The climate activist gets a lot on Twitter. “Have you ever tried to shop local produce at your local farm shop, eat vegan, buy an electric car or use public transport?” one user writes.

Others describe their behavior as “massive hypocrisy”. Another experiences the whole as “disappointing”. Politicians are also speaking: “The contents of this woman’s shopping cart speak volumes about the hypocrisy of people who see nothing wrong with causing chaos,” says Tory MP Chris Loder (41).

Bradbrook responded to the messages about her on Twitter. Instead of showing understanding, the activist denounces the media. “The right-wing press, with its constantly coordinated and vicious attacks on environmentalists, is showing its determination to prevent action on the climate and environmental crisis.”

In the past, Bradbrook had explained that she had to buy the car because of a lack of public transportation and the high cost of electric vehicles. She also needs the car to take her sons to sporting events. (dzc)
