Pro-Russian blogger Tatarski, killed in an attack in St. Petersburg, was discharged with military honors

Hundreds of Muscovites approached the Troyekurovo cemetery in the Russian capital this Saturday to say their last goodbyes to military blogger Vladlén Tatarsky.killed in a bombing on the 2nd and who was discharged with military honors.

According to pictures published on social networks, during the funeral, the Tatar coffin of the famous blogger was guarded by an honor guard of five soldiers.

After Tatarski’s remains were buried while the military band played patriotic music, salutes were fired in his honor.

Near the coffin were his decorations, which he received posthumously from the authorities, but also from the military company Wagner, whose activities in Ukraine he was a regular propagandist.

The funeral was also attended by the leader of the Wagner Group, Jevgenij Prigožin. but he did it before the arrival of the public, according to various Russian media.

The leader of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia, Leonid Slutsky, also attended Tatarski’s send-off.

At the same time, several independent media condemned the impossibility of accessing the grave to follow the funeral.

Tatarski was killed in a bomb attack on April 2 in St. Petersburg, where he was giving a speech to dozens of followers on his social networks.

About 40 people were injured in the blast, which authorities described as a terrorist attack orchestrated by Ukrainian special services and the Russian opposition.

The alleged perpetrator of the attack, a young Russian woman identified as Daria Trépova, was arrested the same day and charged with terrorism.

Tatarski, 40, was born in the Donetsk region of Ukraine and fought in 2014 on the pro-Russian side against the Kiev army.

After the start of Russia’s war campaign in February 2022, he served as a war correspondent and became known for several controversial statements suggesting that any means were worth trying to achieve a Russian victory in Ukraine, regardless of the number of potential casualties. .
