“The best day of my life,” said Gregory Williams, a 57-year-old Bronx resident, as he relaxed in a folding chair overlooking the Manhattan Criminal Court, accompanied by a life-sized cardboard cutout of Hillary Clinton.

“It’s all just one big show,” Williams told the New York Times. ‘I’ve got the popcorn. This is American theater at its best.”

Trump will plead not guilty to the charges
Trump will plead not guilty. At least that’s what his attorney Joe Tacopina says on the show “Good Morning America.” The Manhattan indictment hearing will likely be “a typical trial that doesn’t take long, 20-30 minutes,” Tacopina said.

When the moderator suggested that Trump simply plead guilty to the crime to get off the case, the attorney said: “I can assure you that there will be no admission of guilt in this case.”

Today at 2:15 PM (local time (20:15 CET)) the indictment against Trump will be read
With Donald Trump, a former president of the United States must account for the first time in a criminal case. Trump must appear in person for the impeachment hearing in Manhattan. About 30 charges have been reported against him – none have been officially announced so far.

Shortly before his election as president in 2016, Trump paid hush money to porn actress Stormy Daniels. She had claimed she had sex with him. Trump denies an affair, but not that money was flowing. The payment itself is not illegal. According to the media, Trump is accused of falsely billing them and falsifying business records. He may have broken campaign finance laws. According to US media, Trump has been charged with 34 crimes, each of which carries a prison sentence.

The indictment against Trump will be read today at 2:15 p.m. (8:15 p.m. CET) in New York.

Numerous Trump supporters demonstrate in the street against the impeachment of Donald Trump. 35,000 New York City Police Department (NYPD) police officers are currently on duty or on call. In addition, there are FBI agents and other state troopers.
