The charges against Trump are getting closer: the first demonstrations are underway, many police officers are on the scene

The trial against Trump will not start until after 8 p.m. tonight, but dozens of media representatives have already lined up with cameras to get a good picture of the former president. Trump supporters also line the streets of New York with flags and posters waiting for the trial to begin.

About 60 percent of those polled told CNN that they supported the charges against the former president.
