Russia must expand a cemetery in Vladivostok because of the many dead from the war in Ukraine. At least that’s what a video recently shared on Telegram seems to show.
According to Telegram, the video was shot by a resident of the Far Eastern city on Russia’s Pacific coast. The voice has changed. She shows a cemetery and comments on the whole – hearses are lined up, new graves are being dug everywhere and so many young people have died for nothing.
The US Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) estimated two weeks ago that about 70,000 Russian soldiers have lost their lives in Ukraine. Independent Russian journalists were able to confirm as many as 17,375 names.
The deaths increased dramatically again, especially this year and in the battle for Bakhmut. Up to 800 Russians per day have been killed there in recent weeks. In any case, the British Ministry of Defense gives these figures, citing statistics from the Ukrainian General Staff. (lzo)
