Eva’s mother is also overwhelmed. The 11-year-old is one of 307 children rescued by Ukraine. Only a fraction of those kidnapped by the Russians. According to experts at Yale University in the US, at least 6,000 children, including infants, have been abducted since the start of the war.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky (45) shared the video of the rescued children on his Twitter account on Tuesday. And he wrote: “Russia is kidnapping our children. But that’s not all: at the end of February, Ukraine’s human rights commissioner accused Russia of kidnapping and selling Ukrainian children for sexual abuse. For example, 250,000 rubles (more than 3,200 francs) were offered for a boy “who is about to go to school”.

The Human Rights Commissioner of the Ukrainian Parliament posted a chat on Telegram between two users who he said exchanged views about the sale of a boy for child pornography. “He was taken from Ukraine, from a children’s home, he has no family,” one of the users wrote while offering sex videos. “We bring in little ones for this kind of work.
