Herschel Walker is ahead in polls
A win for Warnock in the second round would be a win for incumbent Democratic US President Joe Biden. The deciding factor will be whether the Democrats stay away from the second round because of the already secure Senate majority – or not.
In the polls on the statistics website Fivethirtyeight, challenger Herschel Walker was just ahead with 48 percent. Warnock comes in at 47 percent.
Warnock received 49.4 percent of the vote in November and Walker 48.5 percent. By that point, the Trump camp had already suffered an embarrassing defeat. Governor Brian Kemp was confidently confirmed in office. Herschel Walker, on the other hand, disappointed.

Kemp is considered Trump’s opponent. The billionaire even ran anti-Kemp ads. If Walker loses the runoff now, it would be Trump’s next setback — before the 2024 presidential campaign enters the hot phase.
