The Hialeah, Florida police are on the hunt for a particularly brutal thief. The man had struck hard on Black Friday. And it wasn’t exactly unremarkable. Surveillance footage shows the crook calmly carrying three dozen handbags and two sacks of loot through the store’s front door and walking out.
Jose Torres, Superintendent with the Hialeah Police Department, has never seen anything like it in his 20-year career. He revealed to the WPLG TV station: “The man apparently got Christmas presents for his entire extended family – at the shop’s expense. Of course we won’t tolerate that.”
The thief did not seem to know that surveillance cameras were installed at the entrance to the store. Or he didn’t mind being filmed. He did not hide his face or his prominent tattoos on his right arm. Despite the recordings, the thief has not yet been caught. “We are working to identify the thief. We are hoping for tips from the public,” said Torres. (jmh)
