Is there a new serial killer in Italy? In Rome, three prostitutes were murdered within hours of each other. All bodies were also found nearby. All three women were stabbed. Police are now investigating whether there is a connection.
The women are two Chinese and a Colombian, the police in the Italian capital confirmed on Friday when asked.
There could be a connection
It is still unclear who is behind the crime. “It could be a single perpetrator, but this suspicion has not yet been confirmed,” said a spokeswoman.
The bodies of the women were discovered on Thursday in the central bourgeois neighborhood of Prati. According to the police, the apartment in which the two Chinese women were found was about half a mile from the apartment where the Colombian woman was killed.
Porter found a body covered in blood
According to media reports, the porter of the Chinese women’s home alerted the police in the morning after finding one of the victims naked and in a pool of blood in the hallway. The officers then found the second woman dead in the apartment.
A few hours later, another 911 call came in to an apartment where the murdered Colombian woman lay – not far from the first crime scene. The three women were allegedly stabbed. There was no further information about the background of the crime and possible suspects until Friday morning. (jwg/SDA)
