Strong winds and heavy rain have caused power outages and flooding in France. In the southeast of the Rhône-Alpes, fallen branches and fallen trees cut off power to 6,000 households on Saturday morning, French media reported, citing network operator Enedis. Efforts are being made to restore power as quickly as possible.
In Vienne, central France, heavy rain caused the Gartempe to flood, as the local prefecture announced on X. Several streets are flooded and closed to traffic. The broadcaster France Info also reported that houses were evacuated at various locations in the area and people were taken to safety. (SDA)
