Teacher in Wales manipulates 16-year-old into sex Bull manufacturer complains about production stoppage

In the Welsh capital Cardiff, a teacher allegedly had sex with a 16-year-old student. He is now due to stand trial at Cardiff Crown Court. The British newspaper ‘Metro’ reports on this.

Accordingly, 29-year-old Ieuan Bartless is said to have manipulated the 16-year-old early on by exploiting his position as a confidant when she came to him asking for help. Instead of helping her, Bartless allegedly pressured the girl to send him nude photos, the British newspaper said. Later, the guidance counselor allegedly met the girl secretly to sleep with her.

Bartless sneaked into the 16-year-old’s home through a back entrance to avoid being recorded by the camera at the entrance. According to Metro, Bartless has now admitted to sleeping with the girl twelve times.

Manipulation from the start

Prosecutor Matthew Cobbe told the British newspaper: “In the first few months he met her, he built trust in the girl and tied her to him.” According to Cobbe, Bartless began meeting the girl alone at school.

“It was the privacy, the isolation, that allowed him to intensify the bond – until she finally thought he really loved her and that they were in a relationship,” the prosecutor explains. The girl told police that Bartless frequently kissed and hugged her and that he wanted to be with her. He also allegedly told her that he wanted to move in together after she finished school.

The judge’s decision is expected in early May

Bartless also allegedly suggested several times to book hotel rooms for himself and the girl so that they could have sex there. According to the girl, Bartless pressured her to send nude photos of herself; Every time she did it, she cried.

According to the guidance counselor’s attorney, Bartless’s mental condition may have deteriorated. He is now receiving psychological treatment. According to ‘Metro’, the incident took place in August 2021, but a previous trial did not result in a verdict. The judge’s ruling in the second trial is expected in early March.
