Putin does not rule out a conflict with NATO and warns of a new volcanic eruption in Iceland after the Third World War

After his re-election, Russian President Vladimir Putin painted the tensions between Russia and the West, and especially NATO, in a dark light.

A comprehensive conflict with NATO cannot be ruled out, and in this case the world would be just one step away from a Third World War, Putin said on Sunday evening in Moscow at a press conference on his victory in the presidential elections. “I think it is unlikely that anyone is interested in this,” Putin told the state agency Tass.

Russia’s permanent president was re-elected again on Sunday, with 87 percent approval, official figures show. There are serious doubts about the correctness of the procedure. The elections at a glance:

According to Putin’s words at the press conference, numerous soldiers from NATO member states have already been deployed in Ukraine. “We already know that,” he said. French and English have already been heard. “This is not a good thing, especially for them, because they are dying there in large numbers,” Putin said – without providing any evidence for this claim.
