Hundreds of Chinese celebrate drug party in Bangkok

A tip led Bangkok police to a massive drug party: three adjacent buildings were raided early Wednesday morning. 104 guests – including 94 Chinese citizens – have tested positive for drugs.

237 Chinese guests were arrested, “Bangkok Post” reports. Among them are 126 women and 111 men. 29 other people, most of them employees of the illegal establishment, were also taken away in handcuffs.

34 luxury cars seized

The buildings were run as a club for drug parties and gambling. More than 100 police officers were involved in the raid. When the police entered the store, customers and staff hid in the kitchens, bathrooms and in the corners of the rooms.

A police spokesperson said at least 300 bags of illegal drugs such as ketamine and methamphetamine were found during a search. In addition, 34 luxury cars were seized from the illegal club’s premises. According to the Bangkok Post, the illegal club had been in operation for about four months. The owner is said to be Chinese.
