Seriously injured man in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia: Shortly after two o’clock on Tuesday evening, police officers in the town of Herne encountered a man (66) without a penis.
Neighbors had previously called 911 because they were concerned about the older man. They reported the incessant barking of a dog coming from the house. When officers arrived, they also noticed groaning sounds. That’s why they assumed the resident needed help.
They broke down the front door and found the 66-year-old without his genitals. The homeowner was immediately taken to the hospital; his life was now in danger. It is not clear from the statement from the police and the public prosecutor’s office where the penis is currently located.
The man’s condition is now said to have stabilized. It is still unclear whether there was a crime, the police in Bochum said on Thursday. The investigators have set up a hit squad.
Chief Inspector Frank Lemanis (59) of the Bochum police told Bild: “The man was still put into an artificial coma by the doctors. We hope we can interview him soon. One hypothesis, of course, is that the dog bit off the penis and ate it. The wound can also be a bite wound. But a sexual accident or a crime is also possible.”
According to “Bild” the man is married. According to the newspaper, the woman was not at home at the time of the operation. The police are looking for witnesses. (AFP/a)
