Afghan (27) confesses to the murder of three prostitutes: This is the brothel killer in Vienna

Three women were brutally murdered in the Viennese brothel ‘Studio 126a’ on Friday evening. The victims are believed to be Chinese, but because the women were so disfigured by the crime, their identities cannot yet be confirmed.

Shortly after the crime, police arrested a 27-year-old Afghan man in a park near the crime scene. The asylum seeker was armed with a bloody knife, the suspected murder weapon. As the news portal Oe24 reports, the Afghan has “in fact confessed” how the terrible act took place.

Asylum seeker was in Vienna illegally

The 27-year-old is not silent about the crime. However, he does not want to make any statements about the motive or further background. According to investigators, he only admits what he cannot deny.

The man applied for asylum in Austria two years ago after traveling by plane from Kabul to Europe. He submitted his application in the state of Carinthia, which he was not allowed to leave under Austrian law. So he was in Vienna illegally.

Police currently believe that the Afghan bought the knife specifically to kill the women. This probably suggests that the murder of the women was planned. Research into a possible relationship with one or more victims has not yet yielded anything.

The fourth woman had to listen to murders

The asylum seeker will be transferred to the responsible prison on Sunday evening. The autopsy of the three victims is also scheduled for Sunday. The identity has not yet been definitively established, but the police currently assume that the owner of the brothel is also among the murdered women.

A fourth woman was able to save herself from the knife attack by locking herself in a room. She then had to listen to the murder of her colleagues. She is now receiving psychological care. (obf)
