Secret document surfaced: Joe Biden’s German Shepherd raged so fiercely in the White House

These are secret documents that the American television channel CNN obtained from the Secret Service, the security service of the American president. 400 pages document how US President Joe Biden’s (81) commander, the German shepherd, got up to mischief in the White House.

The animal is said to have repeatedly attacked the Secret Service. A total of 24 cases are described in the secret documents. There are also several photos at the station, including one of an officer’s torn shirt, which was allegedly torn by the commander.

The attacks started in October 2022 and lasted for about a year. In an email, a special agent warned his team: “The recent dog bites have forced us to adjust our operational tactics when the dog commander is present.”

Additional training and leash management

Biden justified his dog’s behavior with the animal’s strong protective instincts. The family had been working on his behavior for some time, but in the end no training had any effect. “Despite additional dog training, leash management, collaboration with veterinarians and consultation with animal behavior experts, the White House environment simply proved to be too much for Commander,” Elizabeth Alexander, communications director for First Lady Jill Biden, told CNN.

Ultimately, the German Shepherd had to leave the White House. “The President and the First Lady care deeply about the safety of those who work in the White House and those they protect every day.” Commander has been living ‘with other family members’ since the autumn.

Biden’s first dog was aggressive

Commander joined the family as a puppy in December 2021. Joe Biden’s first dog had previously caused tension between the Secret Service and the presidential couple by injuring an agent. The older dog was then sent permanently to Delaware.

The Bidens have long been proud dog owners. As an inside source told CNN, the dog’s behavior has always been a sensitive topic for the president. The incidents took place inside and outside the White House, including at the Bidens’ other homes in Delaware and also in Massachusetts, where the presidential family is spending the Thanksgiving holiday.
