Tenth with adjustment: What do the officials propose?

Public officials hope that the adjustment will be a tenth of those who earn a salary higher than that 550 dollars it goes into effect this year, not next year.

While acknowledging the challenges of not being included in the 2024 budget, officials are looking to the government for answers.

The controller’s union requires, for example, a commitment state so that the missing moneywhich corresponds to the first game of tenthit is paid together with the payment of the second, in August.

In that trade union, they believe that if the adjustment is not made this year, the Constitution of the Republic of Croatia will continue to be violated.

In fact, they maintain that the full payment should be made on February 23, but it is clear that the budget issue will affect that this does not happen.

A few days ago, Professor Edith Rivera of the Unachi University Alliance Movement expressed her concern over the words of President Laurentin Cortiz who said he was almost certain that this adjustment was not included in the 2024 budget.

“We hope they will find the money and pay us the tithe this year as it should be. The government immediately had to responsibly seek funds so that civil servants would not continue to be affected,” said the teacher.

While the general secretary of the National Federation of Associations and Organizations of Public Employees (Fenasep) Alejandro Haynes noted that they are willing to talk to governments so that their payment is a tenth with its alignment from this year.

On February 1, the Supreme Court of Justice unanimously declared unconstitutional the determination of the salary ceiling for the calculation of the thirteenth month of civil servants.

The state government has advanced the payment of the first tenth installment for this Friday, February 23, as a measure to support parents who have children in school, but this will not have any adjustments.

The judgment is $235,461,267 additional millions per year it would be necessary to pay a balanced tithe to more than 98% of civil servants who do not see it that way today.
