A 17-year-old teenager used an emergency hammer to break a glass door on an ICE train en route from Freiburg to Basel and slightly injure a train conductor. He was taken off the train by federal police when it stopped at the Badischer Bahnhof in Basel, police announced on Thursday.
According to police, the youth said he “felt bullied.” During the incident on Wednesday, he broke the connecting door of one of the carriages and then hid in the train toilet.
When a train conductor approached him, he headbutted him in the face and insulted the federal police officers who were later called. The 17-year-old was handed over to youth care. The extent of the damage to the train is still unclear. (SDA)
