Viennese actor is suspected of misusing 15 photos from Navalny’s life – and his last

In Austria, police are investigating a Viennese actor on suspicion of assault. The man, who also works as a presenter, musical actor and speaker, is said to have initiated sexual contacts with child actors and boys from a children’s choir.

Mobile phones, a laptop, several USB sticks and a tablet were seized during a house search in January, the Kronen Zeitung reported on Saturday. The police confirmed to the APA news agency the search and investigations, including on suspicion of initiating sexual contact with minors.

According to the newspaper, the parents of one of the children who the suspect allegedly tried to persuade to perform sexual acts via chat contacted the police. We are now waiting for the assessment of the seized data carriers.

The case of Viennese actor Florian Teichtmeister caused a stir in Austria last year. In September he was sentenced to a two-year suspended prison sentence for obtaining and partially altering approximately 76,000 files containing images of abuse of children and young people. The case sparked political discussions on how to deal with suspected cases, on prevention and punishment, and on the adoption of a child protection package. (saw/sda/apa)
