300,000 signatures for Vladimir Putin to apply for candidacy

Election team of Russian President Vladimir Putinhe collected more than 2.5 million signatures to register his candidacy, and there are exactly two months left until the presidential elections.

“If it is proposed, a lot more signatures can be collected in favor of Putin, probably up to ten times more,” commented Dmitri Peskov, the presidential spokesman at his daily telephone press conference today.

On its website, the presidential team points out that although Putin only needs 300,000 signatures to declare his candidacy, the process is not yet complete and signatures are still coming in from various Russian regions.

Putin is an independent candidate, but party Kremlin, United Russia, actively participates in collecting signatures, as well as volunteer organizations throughout the country.

“Obviously, the most important thing for any candidate is the support of the people (…), the level of support for the president, the level of consolidation of society around his figure, certainly of all age groups, can hardly be exaggerated,” he pointed out. Peskov.

According to polls, Putin, who has a popularity rating of 78.8 percent, should win the election with more votes than in 2018, when he received more than 76 percent of the vote.

A day earlier, Putin assured that the American presidential elections in which the electricity will be the head of the White House, Joe Bidenthey were fake.

“It’s possible that everything can be faked. Just like they faked the last election in the USA. By voting by mail. It’s clear what voting by mail is,” he said during a meeting with city officials.

He explained that “they bought ballots for 10 dollars, filled them out and put them in the mailboxes without the supervision of observers, and that’s it.”

The Russian opposition, whose leader is Alexei Navalny, He is serving 30 years in an Arctic prison, accusing the Kremlin of orchestrating election fraud through electronic voting, to which more than a third of registered voters have access, and three days of voting (March 15-17).
