Trump promises mass deportations of migrants if he wins

Former US President Donald Trump (2017-2021) promised to start a major operation to deport immigrants this weekend on his first day in office if he is re-elected.

Trump, who remains the favorite for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination, again used the immigration issue to rally supporters at a rally in New Hampshire, less than six weeks before the state’s primary.

“On the first day back in the White House I will end all open border policies of the Biden administration, “I will stop the invasion along the southern border and begin the largest and most massive deportation operation in the country,” the former president said.

Although the Republican did not spend much time detailing his deportation plan, the message comes as President Joe Biden’s administration negotiates with opposition senators to tighten the asylum system in exchange for their support for spending more than $60 billion on Ukraine.

The southern border of the United States is experiencing a greater flow of migrants these days, especially in Arizona, prompting the state’s governor, Democrat Katie Hobbs, to send in the National Guard.

Trump again attacked Biden and his foreign policy this Saturday. He stressed that if he wins, he will restore the ban on foreign travelers who disagree with American and Israeli policies, a measure taken in his first term that led to several lawsuits.

If Trump successfully got out of such a judicial entanglement and reached the White House, he would make history by becoming the first American president to rule in two different terms.

Can Trump be president if convicted?

That Trump will be convicted before the Nov. 5 election or even jailed when they take place is a possibility that cannot be ruled out, but it is also likely that the trials will be delayed or prolonged and that he will not be able to sit on the bench in the coming months. .

A hypothetical conviction does not prevent him from running for or being elected president.

Your choice, however, would lead to an unprecedented legal crisis in the United States, which in its legal system does not assume that a person in prison wins an election.

The confusion should definitely be resolved by the courts, although there are other ways, such as Trump pardoning himself, an ace up his sleeve that he could only try in federal cases in Florida and Washington.
