According to the report, the men were said to have been taking weapons from an underground depot to take them to Berlin when the officers struck. However, they would have had no concrete plan of attack. Five apartments and a restaurant are currently being searched in the capital.

Fourth arrest in the Netherlands

A fourth man has been arrested in the Netherlands on behalf of the federal attorney general. It involved a 57-year-old resident of the city who was arrested at the instigation of German authorities, a police spokesman told the German Press Agency on Thursday. This is now being transferred to Germany.

The investigation was taken over by the federal attorney general. All four detainees are strongly suspected of membership of a foreign terrorist organization. One of them has only been temporarily arrested so far; he would have supported the others.

Since the attack on Israel by the pro-Iranian terrorist organization Hamas on October 7, the security situation has also deteriorated in Europe and Germany. However, if the suspicion against the men is confirmed, it would be the first planned terrorist operation by the terrorist organization Hamas in Germany.
