Russia speaks of radioactive thorium sand

Ukrainian advisor: Missiles are the reason for radiation

However, Petro Andryushchenko, the advisor to the city’s exiled Ukrainian mayor, contradicts the Russian view. According to him, the high level of radioactivity comes from Russian rocket and bomb attacks on the city. “The real reason for the exposed sand and high radiation levels is not the storm, but the Russian occupation.” He accused Russia of committing “ecocide” in the region.
