They wanted details about the body of their eldest: the family of the British victim offers the murderer 45,000 francs

Muriel M. was kidnapped more than 50 years ago. To this day, the family did not know what happened to her body. That’s why they offered one of the perpetrators a lot of money for a confession.

It is not unusual for family members of victims of serious crimes to receive compensation for pain and suffering. However, in a case from Britain it was the exact opposite: the victim’s family offered their relative’s killer the equivalent of 45,000 Swiss francs.

Marianne G. (†63) dismembered
Anna F. charged with intentional manslaughter
Is Pascal K. (22) the perpetrator?
“He told me she was Dejan probably won’t find it become”

The reason: From Nizamodeen H.* they wanted to know what exactly had happened to the body of their relative Muriel M.* (†55). “It seemed like our last chance to find out what happened to my grandmother,” the grandson told Sky News. H. kidnapped and murdered Muriel and his brother more than fifty years ago.

Muriel is said to have died of a heart attack

Nizamodeen H. was convicted of the bloody crime and spent years behind bars. Until recently he remained silent about Muriel’s fate.

However, that suddenly changed when the victim’s family offered him the R45,000 contract. Because he could use the amount to avoid falling into poverty, he signed immediately.

Finally, he revealed that Muriel M. had died on a farm in Hertfordshire, north of London. This belonged to his brother Arthur. A few days after she was kidnapped and held for a million-pound ransom in 1969, she reportedly suffered a heart attack, from which she ultimately died.

Now the killer is sorry

In a conversation with the family, H. even offered to show the deceased’s mother and grandson the exact place where Muriel’s remains were located.

Even though the crime happened more than fifty years ago, he is still affected by it to this day. “Talking about it now breaks my heart. I was young, 22, I didn’t feel the pain like I feel now,” the man told Sky News.

The remorse was so great that he eventually refused the money. ‘I don’t want the money. Money was not my goal, but peace of mind.”

Consequential mixing

But why did H. and his brother Muriel kidnap M. at the time? At the time, she was the wife of newspaper manager Alick M.*, who also worked as a deputy to press baron Rupert Murdoch (92).

On the day of the kidnapping, H. and his brother Muriel mistook M. for Murdoch’s first wife, Anna Murdoch, and eventually demanded a ransom. The brothers managed to avoid the police for a few days. However, they were eventually arrested at the farm – but there was still no trace of Muriel M.. What happened to her remained a closely guarded secret until recently. (dzc)
