Ukraine blows up Russia’s “Flaming Sun” Zelensky: Ukraine’s defense industry delivers results – The night update without photos

Currently, a video is circulating on social media claiming that Ukrainian forces south of Kherson are bombing the Russian TOS-1A “Solntsepek” (German: Flaming Sun) – a multiple rocket launcher with thermobaric warheads. Russian howitzers were also hit in the attack.

The user “Special Kherson Cat” posted the nearly two-minute video to X (formerly Twitter), which was apparently shot by a drone. The aerial footage shows several short series of attacks on Russian tanks, missiles and military equipment. In some cases, huge explosions can be seen, which could be caused by exploding TOS-1A ammunition.

Ukrainian troops successful on the Dnipro

Ukraine says it has now managed to capture several bridgeheads on the eastern bank of the Dnipro, which is controlled by Russian soldiers. The Russian army suffered “heavy losses of personnel and equipment” during the fighting, it said in a statement on Facebook.

As early as mid-October, Kiev’s troops reached the side of the Dnipro occupied by Russian soldiers and were subsequently able to successfully liberate the city of Kherson and the western bank of the river from Russian troops. So far, the front in Kherson runs along the river that flows into the Black Sea.

The Ukrainian army’s recapture successes are also supported by Friday’s Ukrainian Navy report. According to its own information, it destroyed a total of fifteen ships stationed in the Black Sea and damaged twelve others. According to the Ukrainian side, a Russian landing ship and a Russian submarine were also destroyed by the Ukrainian navy. However, these attacks and destructions were not confirmed by Russia.
