Hospitals in Gaza are being closed and attacked

The The situation in Gaza’s hospitals further worsened this Sunday with the closure of one of the main centers doctors from the enclave, as a result of fuel and energy shortages, while Israel says it is evacuating civilians housed in hospitals in the Strip.

“Al Quds Hospital in Gaza City is out of service and is no longer working,” he reported Palestinian Red Crescentwhich stated that “the interruption of services occurred due to exhaustion of available fuel and power interruption.”

In parallel, the press office of the government of the Islamist group Hamas, which controls the Strip, again condemned today that Israeli troops keep Al Shifa hospital under siegethe main medical center of Gaza, and where he noticed that there were “stacked corpses”.

“The (Israeli) occupation is besieging the Al Shifa medical complex, placing numerous drones in its airspace. “These drones are firing intensively inside the perimeter of the hospital, injuring several people,” Hamas said in a statement. He described the attacks as a “massacre” and a “planned and organized crime”..

The text also questions the fact that international organizations operating within Al Shifa have left the clinic and calls on everyone to “Go to the hospital immediately to protect him, along with the medical teams and those inside.”

According to the Gaza Ministry of Health, Israeli forces attacked 40 exiles who took refuge in a hospital when they were trying to evacuate the complex.

On its part, The Israeli army has indicated that its troops are allowing the evacuation of civilians from Al Shifa, Rantisi and Nasser hospitals.

“Soldiers of the Israel Defense Forces have opened and secured a passage that allows the evacuation of the civilian population, on foot and in ambulances,” explains the military statement, which points out that several days They insist that the population of northern Gaza be evacuated to the south “for your safety”.

“The The terrorist organization Hamas continues to use civilian structures in the Gaza Stripincluding hospitals, because of their terrorist activity,” added the military, which condemned the Islamist group as having its headquarters just below Al Shifa Hospital.

While Horrifying reports continue to come in that the hospital is facing repeated attacks“We assume that our contacts have joined the tens of thousands of displaced people who sought refuge in the hospital grounds and are fleeing the area,” the UN agency said in a statement.

In the last 48 hours, Al Shifa Hospital, which is the largest medical complex in Gaza, was “attacked several times, leaving several dead and many injured,” according to the WHOwho added that the intensive care unit was damaged in the bombing, and parts of the hospital where the exiles took refuge were also damaged.
