A pregnant woman was hit by a car in North Rhine-Westphalia and died. The woman died in a hospital from her serious injuries, the police in Heinsberg announced on Monday. Her unborn child also died.
According to the information, the accident happened late on Sunday in Hückelhoven near a gas station, when the pregnant woman used the zebra crossing. How the accident could have happened is the subject of an investigation, the ministry said. (nad/AFP)
