Survey: Wagenknecht’s party in double figures from a standing start Bloody urban war feared in Gaza – the night update without photos

With her new alliance, Sahra Wagenknecht is already achieving high approval ratings in a survey. That would have consequences for possible coalitions.

Currently just a club, the ‘Sahra Wagenknecht Alliance’ (BSW) is apparently intended to lay the foundation for a political party: Sahra Wagenknecht presented the objectives of her alliance on Monday and campaigned for donations.

The starting conditions for the politician, who is thus leaving the left, could of course not be better: according to a study, she could easily overcome the five percent hurdle with a political party and join the Bundestag. In a survey by the opinion research institute INSA for ‘Bild’, her possible party came out at twelve percent, which puts her in fifth place among the parties.

Accordingly, Wagenknecht would be just behind the Greens with 12.5 percent. The Union would get 26.5 percent, the AfD follows with 18 percent. Chancellor Olaf Scholz and his SPD would receive 15.5 percent of the votes and the FDP would have only 5.5 percent representation in the Bundestag. The left, on the other hand, would miss out on joining the Bundestag by 4 percent.

“A Wagenknecht party changes the political landscape,” summarized INSA boss Hermann Bunkert in an interview with “Bild”. Previous coalition options, such as an alliance with Jamaica, would no longer have a parliamentary majority. The traffic light would only have a narrow parliamentary majority in the Wagenknecht party. Bunkert does not believe that a double-digit result for Wagenknecht’s possible party in the European elections is out of the question.
