The son of US President Hunter Biden is suing former President Donald Trump’s lawyer Rudy Giuliani for allegedly gaining unlawful access to his laptop. The lawsuit, filed in California, says Giuliani and his attorney Robert Costello wrongfully hacked the laptop and its “extracted or stolen” files for years. Giuliani advised Trump during his term in office and is accused, together with the ex-president, of attempted election fraud in the state of Georgia.
The indictment states that the device was tampered with and altered before it was sent to Giuliani and his attorney. Access to the files violated anti-hacker laws. The device, which appeared in a computer store in the US state of Delaware, has been at the center of many allegations against Joe Biden’s son for months, because it allegedly contained company files and nude photos of Hunter Biden. .
US Republicans have been trying for years to link the business activities and possible crimes of Joe Biden’s son to their father, but have so far failed to prove this. The lawsuit is now seen by Hunter Biden as a counter-offensive.
