Virologist Wuhan warns: ‘High chance of new corona outbreaks’

Two types of coronavirus have already kept the world on edge: the severe respiratory syndrome Sars in 2003 and the well-known Covid-19 virus in 2020. According to Shi Zhengli, there are 38 other variants of the coronavirus, half of which are classified as ‘high risk’ by the Chinese ‘ is classified.

Another Chinese scientist spoke about the explosive publication. Speaking on the guarantee of anonymity, he told the South China Morning Post that “Chinese authorities are deliberately or unintentionally downplaying Covid-19.”

“I think society as a whole is trying to overcome the trauma of the pandemic and look ahead, which is understandable,” said the scientist, who asked to remain anonymous. “But there is a lack of conversation about what we should learn from this outbreak and how we can be better prepared in the future.”

Does Corona come from Wuhan?

However, there were no further comments on the investigation, probably out of fear of the Chinese government. The Wuhan Institute of Virology, where Shi Zhengli works, is suspected by many American politicians as the place of origin of Covid-19. This also applies to ex-president Donald Trump (77).

Declassified US intelligence documents say there is no evidence the Wuhan laboratory is the place of origin. However, this theory cannot be ruled out either. (obf)
