In the Serbian village of Vlaski Do, heating engineer Stevan A.* (†56) went to bed. Shortly after he fell asleep, his ex-wife Ljiljana shot him in the head. Unbelievably, the two children Anita (31) and Marko (30) came to the woman’s rescue and chopped their own father into pieces with a circular saw. They then packed the remains of the body in plastic bags, which they scattered in the forest, as the Kronen Zeitung reports.
According to the report, the family lived mainly in Vienna, where the two children were born. When the coronavirus pandemic hit, Stevan agreed to let his ex-wife live in his other home in Serbia. When the passionate fisherman visited this house again one day, he was struck with a shock. The house had not been maintained or cleaned at all by his family.
“The garden was completely overgrown and the house was dirty,” said a neighbor. So Stevan decided to take matters into his own hands and get the house back in shape. “He asked me to help him mow,” says the neighbor.
When he wanted to help Stevan mow the next day, he seemed to have disappeared. “The wife and children told me he urgently needed to go somewhere.” In reality, they had carried out the brutal execution of her father that night.
The neighbor did not believe the family’s excuse. “I didn’t believe them. I know Stevan, he was like a brother to me.” And so he called the police. When she arrived at the family home, the ex-wife and children were also gone. They had returned to Vienna.
Later, the ex-wife and daughter returned to the house. At the same time, workers found the body parts in the woods – so the two women were arrested on the spot. While the mother made a confession, the 31-year-old exercised her right to remain silent.
“Stevan was such a kind-hearted, hardworking person,” the victim’s neighbor and friend told Kronen Zeitung. It is not yet known what punishment the family will receive. Son Marko went into hiding in Austria. He is wanted on an international arrest warrant. (obf)
