He is considered one of Switzerland’s most exciting singer-songwriters: Julian Pollina, better known as Faber. This year he produced a new album. It should be released next year – but Faber also planned a tour for promotional purposes. “My dear ones, I have made a new album and I am over the moon. It is called Addio and will be released on February 9, 2024,” he recently announced.

He continued: “Playing live has always been my favorite thing to do. That’s why we’re doing a little tour in October and playing the album for you. This way we can discover Addio together as it was meant to be, in one go and face-to-face.”

But nothing comes of that now. Faber has canceled his tour entirely – and for a worrying reason. The singer had to undergo emergency surgery. He announced this on his Instagram account on Friday evening. He told his approximately 120,000 followers: “I have some bad news. Unfortunately I had to undergo emergency surgery. Everything comes back. No permanent damage. Happy.”

He also showed a selfie of himself from the hospital. An IV can be seen in the background and Faber also appears to be wearing a hospital gown. He looks dizzy and looks into the camera behind his glasses with tired eyes and messy hair.

According to the 30-year-old from Zurich, he is deeply affected by this incident and the decision to cancel the tour: “It breaks my heart. Unfortunately we have to postpone the upcoming tour. We have to wait for a doctor’s report to estimate when I can give concerts again.”

The tour in Germany, Austria and Switzerland would start on October 1 in Munich and end on October 31 with a concert in Rubigen, Switzerland, near Bern.
