Shock to San Diego’s high society. The police have arrested the wife of the millionaire Tatyana R.* (42). She is accused of hiring a hitman to kill her unsuspecting husband. The alleged motive: Mark R.* allegedly rejected a business idea from his wife because she had almost ruined him twice before.

The divorced businessman met the Russian-born woman at polo and married her in 2011. Apparently that wasn’t a coincidence, but the 42-year-old had a plan. An acquaintance told the New York Post: “Tatyana was beautiful and wanted to look for a rich husband.”

The Russian woman persuaded her new husband to set up a horse show with acrobats called “Valitar”. But the “Cirque du Soleil with horses” went bankrupt due to lack of interest.

“He was completely in love with her.”

According to friends, after this flop, Tatyana R. convinced her husband to create his own polo team three years later. That also went completely wrong. Nevertheless, Mark R. continued to support his wife. The famous one: “He was completely in love with her. He sold the polo horses and bought her a Rolls Royce and all kinds of animals for her luxury ranch.”

In April this year, Tatyana R. decided that she and Mark R. should move to Wellington, where the national polo center is located. She wanted to build a team there again. Because her husband did not want to participate and an argument arose, the 42-year-old filed for divorce on July 11.

On top of that. According to authorities, Tatyana R. contacted a mutual acquaintance so that he could find her a hit man. The acquaintance warned Mark R., who went to the police.

She claims she acted in self-defense

An undercover police officer posed as a murderer and, according to police, “received a detailed order from Tatyana R. on how to kill her ex-husband and where to dispose of his body.”

After her arrest, Tatyana R. tried to turn the tables. She claims she acted in self-defense because Mark R. was addicted to cocaine and violent. She stated that R. broke into her bedroom, threatened her with a weapon and allowed a friend to rape her.

The prosecutor didn’t believe a word she said. Tatyana R. must remain in custody until her first hearing. (ymh)
