Since Thursday, hundreds of emergency services in Berlin have been searching for a lioness they thought had escaped. The large-scale search in Germany also made headlines abroad. After 35 hours, authorities finally announced that the big cat was probably a wild boar.

The lioness, who was searched for 30 hours by more than 300 police officers from Thursday to Friday, is no longer in danger of eating her pet. The animal, filmed on Wednesday night by a resident of this exclusive neighborhood southwest of Berlin, was neither a big cat nor an April Fool’s joke.
