Temperatures in Spain would rise to 44 degrees After an accident at a school in Wimbledon: the second girl has died

Temperatures will rise again in Spain at the beginning of the week. Hot air pouring in from North Africa on Monday is causing the extreme heat, which is expected to last at least until Wednesday, according to the Spanish weather service Aemet.

“In large parts of the Spanish peninsula and in the Balearic Islands, there will be intense heat on Monday and Tuesday with temperatures between 38 and 40 degrees,” said an Aemet spokesperson. “In parts of Andalusia and Aragon, between 42 and 44 degrees are reached.”

Just under two weeks ago, Spain was groaning under the first heat wave of the summer, with temperatures reaching over 44 degrees in parts of Andalusia. Several deaths occurred as a result of the intense heat and some Spanish regions became alarmed.

Last year, Spain experienced its hottest summer since records began in 1916. Experts believe Spain will be one of the countries most affected by climate change. In addition to an increase in heat waves, the country is struggling with a worrying lack of precipitation. (sda/afp)
