‘Look how it goes to the Titanic’: Tiktokerin (22) filmed the submarine just before the dive

A few hours remain until the fate of the five passengers of the missing “Titan” is sealed. According to the US Coast Guard, the oxygen on board should run out around 1 p.m. Central European Time.

The submarine, which was on its way to the wreck of the Titanic in the North Atlantic on Sunday and has not surfaced since, is moving the world. Now, new footage has surfaced that would show the submarine shortly before the fateful dive.

He smiled and waved at her

The video shows the moment the submarine embarks on what will likely be its last dive. The scenes were filmed by videographer Abbi Jackson (22), who has more than 40,000 followers on Tiktok. She was aboard the Polar Prince mother ship and waved out to sea for a selfie clip for her TikTok channel.

You can see the almost seven meter long “Titan” swimming on the waves. “Watch a submarine descend to the Titanic,” the post reads.

Jackson’s Tiktok channel also contains a video by Titanic expert Paul Henri Nargeolet (77). The videographer filmed him shortly before boarding the Titan.

Nargeolet looks carefree, waves to the young woman and smiles at the camera. No wonder: for the connoisseur, it was the 38th time on Sunday that he and other adventurers set out for the wreck of the Titanic.

So far nothing has happened to him during his nearly 40 journeys to the enchanted ship. On Sunday, he had no idea that the “Titan” might never appear again.

Despite the massive search, the 22-year-old has not removed the video clips on her Tiktok channel. In the meantime, however, she has reported to concerned commentators: “Thank you for your compassion. Pray for the five crew members!” (dzc)
