Missing Titanic submarine – these are other crazy travel ideas for super rich new Russian war tactics: after the Kamikaze drones, the Kamikaze tanks

When you have a lot of money and you are bored, crazy ideas sometimes come to you. For example, to travel to space or to the South Pole.
An article from

Normally only astronauts fly into space and experienced mountaineers climb the highest mountains in the world. Extreme athletes can hike to the South Pole or take a submarine to the wreckage of the Titanic. A submarine has recently disappeared and the question arises which luxury excursions are equally dangerous. And not only for the super rich, but also for those who accompany them.

With the mini submarine to the Titanic

The Titanic wreck expedition usually has a pilot, three guests and a Titanic expert on board. For eight days we first go to the wreck of the Titanic, on the way there are training sessions where the participants are prepared for the dive.

The dive itself usually takes six to eight hours. There is currently no trace of the recently launched diving team. These excursions cost up to $250,000, or about $229,000.

Into space with Jeff Bezos or Richard Branson

Jeff Bezos’ space company Blue Origin and the company Virgin Galactic also offer tourists what is normally only possible for experienced astronauts: for a lot of money you can go into space and back to earth. The flight with Virgin Galactic is currently possible again, but only offers a few minutes of weightlessness: with an aircraft carrier it goes up, from where the spacecraft rises to more than 80 kilometers above the earth.

Finally, it slides back to Earth, where it lands on the same runway. The flights depart from Spaceport America’s base in the New Mexico desert. The prices for a flight are between 200,000 and 450,000 dollars.

But: accidents have already happened here: a Virgin Galactic pilot died in 2014 and flights were suspended until 2023. Since an accident in September 2022, the Blue Origin rocket has also been grounded.

Glamping and hiking at the South Pole

If a simple cruise to Antarctica isn’t enough, you can also book a trip to the South Pole. From Cape Town/South Africa, a private jet with a maximum of twelve passengers will take you to the South Pole in eight days.

The provider Inventia promises luxury camping in the ice, flights over the icebergs, 4×4 rides and a visit to the emperor penguins. The participants are accommodated in a luxury camp that corresponds to a five-star hotel. The trips cost between 98,500 and 104,000 euros per person.

For about 40,000 euros on Mount Everest

In comparison, climbing the highest mountain in the world, Mount Everest, almost seems like a bargain. The experience costs around 40,000 euros and requires a high level of fitness in addition to a lot of money.

The fee for a climbing permit alone costs about $11,000; Equipment, oxygen tanks, domestic flights, food and a local team of helpers who guide the route, carry the luggage and cook for the tourists do the rest.

Every year, dozens of tourists disappear while mountaineering in the Himalayas, which is why Nepal recently pulled the string and banned independent hiking without a mountain guide. If you go hiking with a guide, you risk significantly less dangers.
