Land Rover makes some jokes about the updated Range Rover Evoque
“No exhaust emissions,” says the press release on the updated Range Rover Evoque. The special thing, because there is no fully electric version of the compact Land Rover model.

Range Rover Evoque under the knife
Well we’re silly. More importantly, the Range Rover Evoque has received a facelift. Can you see that? Barely. Headlights – using Matrix LED technology – received a slightly different layout, and the pattern in the radiator grille was also changed.
Completely new center console
Inside the Evoque, the changes are immediately apparent. On the dashboard we now find a completely new center console. Land Rover also pulled off a rooftop trick with the recently modernized Discovery Sport.
The infotainment screen is slightly curved and now hangs over the center tunnel like a painting. It’s a shame that Land Rover has removed almost all of the physical buttons. The air conditioning functions are now also operated via the display.
We discover these touch buttons on the steering wheel. Volkswagen’s CEO said this week that future models will have real buttons again. There have been too many complaints from Volkswagen drivers.
Plug-in hybrid with a range of 62 kilometers
Little has changed in the Range Rover Evoque’s range of engines. There are also a range of mild hybrids, the P160, P200 AWD, P250 AWD and P300 AWD, as well as a diesel. The P300e plug-in hybrid has received a few different specifications.
It couples a turbocharged three-cylinder to an electric motor for a total output of 309 hp. You can sprint to 100 km/h in 6.4 seconds, but fuel consumption and electric range are likely to be more relevant.
The Range Rover Evoque P300e can travel up to 62 kilometers with its 14.9 kWh battery. Land Rover itself knows that this is often not feasible, so the manufacturer states that the practical range is around 48 kilometers.
