On the night of Tuesday, a red Ferrari Spider 488 kept the police in Konstanz (D) on their toes. The police had already noticed the sports car because of the extremely loud engine noise and the missing front number plate. When the officers then wanted to conduct a traffic check, the driver fled, who could be identified as Thurgau from the rear license plate.
A chase ensued: the Ferrari initially drove away at high speed, overtook two other vehicles and finally ended up on the sidewalk in the Salzberg area. A short time later, the police managed to stop the Ferrari in the parking lot of the university sports grounds.
The police have now started the investigation into the case and are now looking for witnesses. Anyone who can provide information about the incident involving the red Ferrari is asked to report to Konstanz police station. (dzc)
