A geography and grammar question is doomed – would you have known?

Günther Jauch is back: On Sunday and Monday there were two new episodes “Who wants to be a millionaire?”. The two episodes of “Whitsun Special” were tough, as none of the candidates volunteered.

Unbeknownst to them, they had been secretly signed up for the quiz by family members or employees. This circumstance sometimes led to strange scenes. A bachelor party suddenly ended up in the “hot seat”, a boss was put in the middle by her employees, or an English teacher was surprised by his students – all of whom appeared in his honor with a head full of curly wigs.

For the latter, the show ends a bit bittersweet: he clears away at least 64,000 euros, but could easily have had twice as much. His phone joke – the geography teacher – knows the correct answer to this nice geography question:

On Monday, a candidate was also present who was given a second chance at Jauch after he dropped from 32,000 euros to 500 euros a year ago. He was registered by his colleague, who, as a prankster on the phone, gave him the wrong answer to a football question and, of course, has been terribly embarrassed ever since.

Leon Laloi is correspondingly nervous (and his colleague probably just as nervous) as he approaches the retake. According to the candidate, he slept only two hours.

For a short time now, Laloi has been threatened with renewed shame at the question of 2000 euros. But Jauch manages to prevent this – probably half out of pity, half out of goodwill – by simply creating an extra prankster: the candidate can choose someone from the audience and this person can give his opinion. (The answer was correct.)

In the end, Laloi fails – and he shouldn’t be the first – because of the spelling question. After all, this time he does not listen to his insecure telephone joke and takes the 16,000 euros home.​

By the way: the correct answer to the football question was Manchester City. But the prankster was sure it was Paris Saint-Germain.
