The Spaniard, the first favorite in Paris, dominated his rival, making his debut in a tournament of this size, with considerable solvency

Spanish tennis player Carlos Alcaraz had a solid debut this Monday in the tournament Roland Garros, other Great slam season and on clay, after getting rid of the Italian Flavio Cobolli in three sets 6-0, 6-2, 7-5 after less than two hours of play.

Murcian, the first favorite in Paris, where he was a quarter-finalist last year, began to try to win his second major after the last US Open and dominated his opponent, classified from the previous one, a rookie in a tournament of this dimension with enough solvency and that only gave him problems in the third and last set.

The one from El Palmar, who left some points of authentic genius, always dominated with his power drive, with which he nailed the Italian, and he almost did not give in on the serve, except for a small fear in the last set that he knew how to solve. In addition, it was very fine-tuned and full of quality in the network.

The start of the world number one tennis player Suzanne Lenglen was devastating. Cobolli, more tense because of the stage and the opponent, charged him and in less than half an hour he already gave him a donut and won only three points from the rest. After losing the first eight games, the Italian was able to celebrate in his first and this somewhat encouraged him to increase the tie until Alcaraz accelerated and came very close to a ticket for the second round.

However, the 21-year-old from Florence, ranked 159th in the world, decided to give up and caused problems in the third set in which he seemed more comfortable, also seeing himself ahead on the scoreboard and replicating the Murcian one with a right hand. He couldn’t relax, except when he had to go up 15-40 in the fourth game, and saw victory close when he finally broke at 3-3.

The champion in New York was 5-4 and serving, but Cobolli pressed him and made a mistake in some decision on the track, which cost him the first break and prolonged the match, not too much, because he returned it right after. This time he did not lose to secure a passage to the second round where he will face the Japanese Tara Daniel.
