Do you also have this part on your stove? We finally know how it works properly

Now that temperatures are dropping, we need to turn up our heating. On this rotating thing. Here you finally discover how it works.

First a small definition: thermostat or valve? Hans just like Heiri, in technical terms this thing is called a heating thermostatic valve.

From now on we will talk about the thermostat. Because we had no idea how exactly this device works until this morning, we spoke to an expert, Marc Kaufmann, from the manufacturer Danfoss Switzerland. And now you too can become a heating specialist!

Our expert also noted that the older thermostats kick in immediately when the first cold breeze comes – which unfortunately doesn’t help at all. However, the new models are so smart that they temporarily stop operation during ventilation before heating the room to the desired temperature again.
