cows. They are large, noisy and kill more people than sharks every year. I mean, more people have died from cow attacks than shark attacks. Cows don’t kill sharks as far as we know.

If I could change one thing about hiking in Switzerland, it would be the danger of cows. As soon as I hear the sound of the bells, my heart beats faster. Are you behind a fence? Or is a large group of them waiting for me on the path?

It was time to face my fear as I partook in a time-honored Swiss tradition:
