Vintage cars in Obwalden 2022: Exciting Classic Whitsun

For Swiss ex-fans, not only has it been a must since the Swiss veteran boom: this year, the classic event old-timers will take place in Obwalden (O-iO) on Pentecost weekend. The O-iO 2023 should make things tough in the old town of Sarnen OW: you can expect over 500 classic cars from dozens of brands from over 100 years of automotive history.

Lead organizer Ruedi Müller (75) is keeping up with the times and showing that even electric cars are after all just cars and will one day become a classic. Because there will be test drives with alternative drive cars, including fully electric ones.

And the schedule goes like this: From 9.30am on Saturday 27 May, vintage cars will arrive at Sarnen OW. Passenger journeys will be made between 13:45 – 14:45 with old model and alternatively working cars. From 15:15 there is a Saturday tour around Lake Sarnen, before the event ends with concerts.

On Sunday the artifacts will depart at 9am for the event center at Seelisberg UR, where they will be on display. As a special program, a Toyota GP86 model has the possibility to drift three laps on the asphalt with prior notice. A dramatic drive over a barn roof is offered to wrap up the weekend.
