Ernestine, why did you choose the car subscription?

Because of my job in the finance department, I have a particular interest in costs. So first I got an overview of the car subscription, but I didn’t put all the costs on the golden scale. On a car, I knew insurance bills and taxes usually come in January. Then tire change for tires etc. With Carvolution, these costs are distributed monthly over the entire period. As a result, the monthly price seems high at first. But when you consider the total cost of the entire period, it totally makes sense.

Is your car more expensive or less expensive today than before?

I definitely pay less now than before. Or certainly not anymore. In fact, I get much better service for a state-of-the-art car I would otherwise have to buy. If you buy a car, all costs are taken into account, you should calculate a good 1000 francs per month. Now I pay much less and there are no additional costs for insurance, tires or repairs. As with renting an apartment, I have a fixed price and know my costs.

What is the biggest difference compared to previous solutions?

Everything about cars used to take a lot more time for me. Especially when buying a used car, you need to compare a lot. With Carvolution, you know exactly what you’re getting. What were the next steps?

First of all, I looked at what cars were on offer. You can get a non-binding offer with just a few clicks on the website. So I chose two or three vehicles and had them offer them. I immediately received the offer via e-mail.

Did you configure the subscription for offers yourself?

Exactly, I stated my wishes and configured the subscription as time and mileage package accordingly. After that, I had a consultation appointment with Doreen. It was important to me that I could transport my bikes with a trailer hitch. Doreen was very nice and helpful. He was great at helping me stay within my budget. We even exchanged a few personal items. Although I had never seen him, it was as if we had known each other for a long time. I was able to convey all my wishes and concerns, everything was noted and considered, and a corrected quote was sent.

Specifically: Where did Doreen’s advice help you?

At first, I wanted a car with a trailer hitch so I could transport the bikes. Because new cars often no longer have roof rails. But then I bought the Audi A3, as I was able to set up a trailer hitch myself. I didn’t know at first, but Doreen gave me detailed advice. That is why it is allowed to make adjustments to cars. In my case there are also special Audi bike racks that you can mount without roof rails. This is the version I chose.

Are you satisfied with your Audi A3 choice?

Yes, I was already familiar with Audi cars because my partner also drives an Audi. I think it’s a great brand with a great design. It was exactly the color I wanted.

Do you know other people who already have car subscription experience?

No, I am the first to use Carvolution in my area. But I’m so excited that I tell everyone.

How would you explain the car subscription to others?

Simple, ingenious, wonderful (laughs). I’m very surprised. Of course, I’ll briefly explain how the subscription works.

How do they react to your excitement?

There were people who thought it was just a rental and that I needed to buy a new car. I’ve also considered buying a new car, but for me Carvolution is like renting an apartment. Not everyone wants to buy an apartment, some prefer to rent it. This is exactly how I see it with a car subscription. Unlike Leasing, Carvolution includes everything, not just cars.

How is the daily subscription? Is the app useful?

Yes, of course, I have all the information about the car in the application. For example, I can see my subscription configuration and have an overview of the miles I have traveled. It’s also great that I can set the mileage directly from within the app. This means that I am not limited to a particular mileage package. I haven’t customized it yet, but it’s great to have the option.

Do you have any improvement requests for Carvolution?

(laughs) I have a huge list. No, seriously, the staff are all really great: incredibly friendly, uncomplicated and really reliable, which I really appreciate.

Can’t we really do something better?

Maybe the problem of the trailer hitch. There may be slightly more options in the smaller car segment, as currently mostly vehicles of the upper premium class, namely SUVs, are equipped with a trailer hitch. But apart from that there are many different brands so there should be something for every taste.

A positive moment staying with you?

In fact, every day is a positive experience and it reinforces my decision that I made the right choice with the car subscription and Carvolution. I was very surprised when I received the car in Bannwil BE because it really feels like my car and it really belongs to me. I sit in it every day and I’m happy with it.
