After the match between FC St. Gallen and FC Luzern, violent riots broke out between the two fan camps and the police in the city of Lucerne last Saturday. Seven people were injured. Now the approval authorities of the two cantons are responding.
For example, it was decided on Tuesday that the host sectors would be closed for the next matches of two teams. This means that no fans from St. Gallen are allowed to travel to Zurich for the away game against GC on Thursday and no fans from Lucerne are allowed in Sion. In addition, the host sectors will be closed for all games between the two teams next season.
The fans are on probation. Should there be any misconduct in any of the away games, the respective home sector would be closed for the last game of the season on Whit Monday (St. Gallen vs. Sion, Luzern vs. Servette).
