Roger Federer posts a series of photos of going to school in Lesotho.

A few children’s songs, fun games in the wide, beautiful landscape – and of course a short flying visit to a tennis court should not be missed: Roger Federer visited the kingdom of Lesotho for his foundation. together with the whole family.

Together, the Federers make many children’s faces shine. For example, when dancing together in a classroom or outside while reading aloud or playing “Fangis,” as the tennis maestro, who retired last year, demonstrates on social media. “A little insight into our wonderful trip to Lesotho,” writes the 41-year-old.

Meeting with the Prime Minister

The purpose of the trip to the small mountain country, which is completely enclosed by South Africa, is to improve the education of local children with the help of the “Roger Federer Foundation”. Federer met Prime Minister Sam Matekane (65) and other senior members of the government. He stressed that more needs to be done urgently to ensure sustainable development in Lesotho. The aim is that all girls and boys have access to quality pre-school education, so that they are ready for primary school.

Federer says on “GPE Transforming Education”: “Our work can only have a bigger and more positive impact if the government of Lesotho puts early childhood education at the top of its priority list and allocates more money to this sector.” Business and development partners should also be involved, explains Federer, who also visited a newly built children’s playground supported by his foundation. And there? On the other hand, it was not about politics, but simply about the children’s enjoyment of the new devices. (mpe)
