Great sadness for Gladbach star Jonas Hofmann. The 30-year-old and his fiancé Laura Winter unexpectedly lost their first child before birth in April. The Sky presenter announced this on her Instagram account on Tuesday.
“I thought for a long time whether I should say something. Do I have to say something? Completely unexpected we had to say goodbye to our little darling a few weeks ago. Thank you to everyone who thinks of us. And thank you for understanding that we will not be commenting further on this,” said Winter. With the sad news, the presenter has made himself heard on social media for the first time in about six weeks.
After the tragic event at the beginning of April, Hofmann was absent from training at his club Borussia Mönchengladbach for several days and assisted his fiancé. It wasn’t until mid-March that the couple happily announced they were expecting a child. «1+1=3. We are so excited to be parents for the first time,” the two said at the time.
The 19-time German international and the Sky presenter made their love public at the end of 2021 and have been engaged since November 2022. (byl)
